Speaker: Dr. Andrew Schlegelmilch, Clinical Psychologist (CA PSY-22003)
Dr. Schlegelmilch will offer helpful strategies for educators, and resource providers wishing to communicate supportively with parents of individuals with learning differences and related anxiety disorders.
Dr.Schlegelmilch has a degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in children and family therapy and research from Kent State University. He trained in several areas of psychology, including psychological assessment, instrumentation, program assessment and development, and group and individual therapy. Dr. Schlegelmilch taught at the undergraduate and graduate level in the fields of psychology and education. Dr. Schlegelmilch is currently the Head Psychologist at Orion Academy, a secondary school for children with neurological disorders, and especially those on the autism spectrum. He also writes a blog for professionals and parents (orionacademy.blogspot.com) based on his experiences at Orion.
